We keep this simple. We collect only what we need to reply to you and do the work you ask for. We never sell your information.
Who We Are
DeerStride is a small business studio serving landscapers and cleaners, founders, restaurant and café openers, teachers and small businesses. You can reach us at team@deerstride.com.
What We Collect
- What you type into our inquiry forms: your name and title, your business, company or school name and address, your email address, your phone number if you choose to give it, and the details you choose to share, such as the service you're interested in or your budget.
- Emails you send us at team@deerstride.com.
- Files you share for a project: the documents, figures, photos and logos you share with us through one view-only link from your own Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive. The files stay in your account and you decide who can see them. We don’t take files by email. We download only what the work needs, keep it privately for your project, and never share it.
- Proof of eligibility for community pricing: if you ask for our teacher and family community pricing, we ask for a simple proof, such as an email from your school address, a staff badge with the ID number covered, or a short letter from a school or support organization. We look at it once, record only that you're eligible, and delete it. We never ask for diagnoses, medical records, student names or plan details.
- When you order: your signed agreement (name, email, ticked boxes, date, time and IP address); payment details go to our payment processor, never to us.
- Our free calculators run entirely in your browser. Nothing you type into them is sent to us or stored.
- Email check: to catch typos, your browser asks Google's public DNS service whether the domain part of your email (for example, gmail.com) can receive mail. The rest of your address isn't sent.
We don't ask for, and please don't send, passwords, bank or card details, government ID numbers, or students' names, health details or individual plan information.
Why We Use It
- To reply to your inquiry and send you a quote.
- To deliver the work you ask us to do, and to keep a written record of what we agreed.
- To keep a record of what you agreed to and handle any payment questions.
We don't use your information for advertising, and we don't add you to mailing lists without asking.
Who Helps Us
- Web3Forms delivers form messages to our inbox.
- A secure payment processor handles all payments.
- Cloudflare hosts this website and our domain settings.
- Zoho Mail hosts our business email (team@, support@ and cancellation@deerstride.com).
- Google Fonts and Unsplash supply the fonts and photos on these pages. Your browser loads them from their servers, which may see your IP address.
This site doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies.
How Long We Keep It
We keep inquiries and project records for as long as we need them to serve you and meet our tax and record-keeping obligations, then delete them. Copies of files you share for a project are deleted 90 days after we deliver it, unless you ask us in writing to keep them for continuing work; please remove our access to any shared folder once the work is done. Files we deliver are available through a private download link for 15 days, then permanently deleted from our servers. Signed agreements and order records are kept for at least 4 years.
Your Choices
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you at any time. Email team@deerstride.com and we'll respond within a reasonable time. California residents may have additional rights under state law, and we'll honor them.
Changes
If we change this notice, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
